What we collect
When you order: your name, email address, delivery and billing address, phone number if you give one, and the details of what you bought.
When you pay: payment is handled by our payment providers. We receive confirmation that payment succeeded, along with the card type and last four digits. We never see or store your full card number.
When you browse: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and how you arrived at the site. This comes from cookies and similar technologies.
When you contact us: whatever you choose to include in your message.
If you subscribe: your email address.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis

| Keeping accounting and tax records | Legal obligation |
| Preventing fraud and keeping the site secure | Our legitimate interest in protecting the business |
| Marketing emails | Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time |
| Understanding how the site is used so we can improve it | Your consent, given through the cookie banner |
| Measuring our advertising and showing ads to people who have visited the site | Your consent, given through the cookie banner |
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use automated decision-making that produces legal effects for you.
Who we share it with
- Shopify, which hosts our store and processes orders on our behalf.
- Payment providers, including Shopify Payments, Shop Pay, Klarna, PayPal and Apple Pay, depending on how you choose to pay.
- Our production and fulfilment partners and their carriers, who need your name and delivery address to send your order.
- Apps installed on our store, including our size guide, order tracking and product review tools.
- Our email platform, if you have subscribed.
- Advertising platforms, including Meta, so we can measure whether our advertising works and show ads to people who have visited our site. Where you have consented, information such as your email address is converted into a coded form before it is sent, so it cannot be read directly, although it can still be matched to an account.
- Professional advisers and authorities, where we are required to share information by law.
Information going outside the UK
Because our fulfilment partners are based overseas, your name and delivery address are transferred outside the UK in order to send you your order. Some of our service providers also store data outside the UK.
Where that happens we rely on either a UK adequacy decision for the destination country, or on contractual protections in the form of the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, so that your information keeps an equivalent level of protection.
How long we keep it
- Order and transaction records: 6 years after the end of the relevant tax year, because HMRC requires it.
- Marketing contacts: until you unsubscribe, and then a minimal record so we do not email you again by mistake.
- Customer service emails: 2 years.
- Website analytics: up to 26 months.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- be told how your information is used, which is what this page is for
- access a copy of the information we hold about you
- have it corrected if it is wrong
- have it deleted, where we have no overriding reason to keep it
- restrict how we use it while a concern is resolved
- portability, meaning a copy in a machine-readable format
- object to processing based on our legitimate interests
- withdraw consent at any time, for anything based on consent
Email hello@marisellelondon.com to use any of these. We will respond within one month, and it is free.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you came to us first so we can put it right.
Marketing
We only send marketing emails to people who have asked for them. Every email has an unsubscribe link and unsubscribing takes effect immediately. It has no effect on emails about orders you have placed, which we have to send.
Cookies
Essential cookies keep the site working: your basket, your session, security. These cannot be switched off.
Analytics and marketing cookies help us understand how the site is used and measure our advertising. We only set these with your consent, given through the banner when you arrive.
You can change your mind at any time through the cookie settings, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser. Blocking essential cookies will stop parts of the site working.
Children
Our store is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe we have, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Significant changes will be flagged on the site.
